Ashley Applewhite
When I founded Applewhite Law Firm in 2022, I did so with a clear mission — to fight for individuals and families who have been injured or lost loved ones because of someone else's negligence. For me, personal injury law isn’t just about cases — it's about people. Every client I represent deserves not only strong legal advocacy but also genuine care and attention throughout one of the most challenging times in their life.

About Me
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, minoring in Journalism and History, and earned my law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2007. During law school, I was a member of the Administrative Law Moot Court Team and worked as a business immigration paralegal for a major international firm, learning firsthand how to juggle complex legal matters under pressure.
Today, I’m proud to be part of the legal community as a member of the Travis County Women Lawyers Association, the Austin Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas. Beyond my work, I’m passionate about giving back — volunteering with Barton Creek Elementary and the Lake Hill Park Community Association, where my family and I live.
Early Work
I’ve been working in the legal industry since 2004, starting my career at several top law firms. Over the years, I’ve gained experience in personal injury insurance defense, commercial litigation, insurance coverage, and immigration law. I’ve advised some of the biggest insurance companies, wrangled with their adjusters, and worked with individuals facing life-altering injuries. I know how insurers operate because I was there. Now, I use that inside knowledge to help my clients navigate the system and secure the outcomes they deserve.
As a litigator with over 18 years of courtroom experience, I’ve handled hundreds of cases across Texas and the United States. My background includes everything from insurance coverage disputes and construction defect claims to product and premises liability, serious car and pedestrian accidents, and Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) claims.
I’ve defended nationally recognized rideshare companies and insurance carriers in both state and federal courts. I’ve attended more than 500 mediations and managed hundreds of active cases at once — skills that now allow me to resolve my clients' cases strategically and efficiently.

Since opening my own firm, I’ve shifted my focus entirely to representing injured individuals, not corporations. Having worked for some of the largest insurers in the country, I know exactly how they evaluate, negotiate, and defend claims. That perspective gives me an edge in helping my clients understand what’s happening behind the scenes and how to push for the best possible results.
At Applewhite Law Firm, you're not just a case number — you're someone who deserves to be heard, respected, and represented with everything I have to give.
